What are nameservers?

Simply put nameservers are special computers that are always connected to the internet that tell where a website is located. They turn a user-friendly domain name like furtherdesigngroup.com into a string of numbers known as an IP address so that computers from all around the world can direct people to your website.

If you registered your domain name with another company and are hosting your website with Further Design Group you would simply provide your registrar with our nameservers (which are sent to you in your welcome email) to direct people to your website.

If you order your domain name through us the nameservers are automatically set for you with our nameservers and there is nothing more you need to do.

If you purchase a domain name from us but want to host your website elsewhere you can simply log into your account at https://www.furtherdesigngroup.com/support and click on the Domain Names tab to manage your domains. You would then enter the DNS information provided to you by your host.
