These instructions are for transferring a domain name away from GoDaddy and to Further Design Group. Before you begin, make sure your domain is eligible for transfer.

Important: GoDaddy states that domains may not be eligible for transfer if they were newly registered, recently transferred, or if certain contact changes were made and a 60-day transfer lock was applied.

Part 1: Prepare Your Domain in GoDaddy

1. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
2. Open your Domain Portfolio and select the domain you want to transfer.
3. Look for the Transfer section and choose Transfer to Another Registrar.
4. If GoDaddy shows that your domain is not eligible for transfer, follow any instructions shown in your account before continuing.
5. Make sure your domain is unlocked.
6. If Domain Privacy is enabled, turn it off if GoDaddy requires that for your domain.
7. If Domain Protection is enabled, fully downgrade it to None if required before transfer.
8. Get your Authorization Code (also called the Auth Code, EPP Code, or Transfer Key) and copy it somewhere safe.

Note: Avoid making unnecessary registrant contact changes right before transferring your domain. Certain changes can trigger a 60-day transfer lock, depending on the options selected during the update process.

Part 2: Start the Transfer with Further Design Group

1. Visit https://www.furtherdesigngroup.com/support/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
2. Enter your domain name and begin the transfer order.
3. When prompted, enter the Authorization Code you received from GoDaddy.
4. Complete your contact details and payment information as requested during checkout.

Note: If your domain extension is not available in the transfer form, please contact us for assistance.

Part 3: Approve the Transfer in GoDaddy

1. After the transfer has been submitted, GoDaddy may send you a notice that a transfer away has been requested.
2. To avoid delays, log back in to GoDaddy and go to your Transfers page.
3. Open Transfers Out and look for your domain under the In Progress section.
4. Select the domain and choose Approve Transfer.

If you do not manually approve the transfer, GoDaddy says the transfer will usually be approved automatically within about 5 to 7 days unless it is canceled or blocked.

After the Transfer

Once the transfer is complete, your domain will appear in your Further Design Group account at https://www.furtherdesigngroup.com/support .
